"Dirty C" Chorus Module

Based on the original chorus section from the ubiquitous Roland RE-501 chorus echo, the new Pope Audio "Dirty-C" 500-Series chorus module packs all of the same character and vibe as the original in a compact, desktop-friendly unit.

Designed for the Modern Studio

The Pope Audio Dirty-C authentically recreates the exact character and vibe of the original RE-501, arguably Roland’s finest chorus. In addition, it features an effect rate/depth control, a mix blend knob and hi-Z instrument input. Three separate modes are featured: “Vibrato”, “RE501” and “Ring Mod” - each offering subtly different variations on the chorus effect, from shimmering modulation to more extreme three-dimensional effects.

Features

Utilising an original BBD MN-3007 chip - the same chip used in the original RE-501 chorus - the Dirty-C perfectly replicates the lush, characterful sound of the original, albeit in a much smaller package.

  • Genuine Bucket Brigade MN-3007 chip as used in original RE-501 Chorus

  • Fully analogue path

  • Fully balanced I/O

  • Optional hi-Z instrument input (unbalanced)

  • Hand-built in the UK

"The Dirty C is arguably the best-sounding chorus that I’ve heard; the effect always becomes a part of the sound rather than seeming to have been ‘stuck on’ to the source"
